My dad asked me for some help this weekend finding a Red Dot for his AR. Asking for his price range, he gave me a budget of $200 to $400. I'd been looking around and was thinking of picking up a Vortex SPARC II. Anyone have experience with this Red Dot? Any other recommendations in the price range I listed? I should note he was originally told to buy a Bushnell TRS 25.

The one thing I will give to Vortex is the lifetime warranty.
Depending on your use you may not need a $500 red dot ya know!Comment

Aimpoint Pro since your budget goes to $400.
For lower budget, I like Primary Arms Red Dots.Constitutionally, officials cannot license or register a fundamental right.
