    Night Sights

My friend just purchased a block and wants to add night sights to it; he has no real idea what is considered good and what options he has.

    Thanks!

Oh come on, you can admit to buying a block.

Lots to choose from. I like the Trijicon HD

Honestly, it's my friend. I would admit to it... but not my style.

He is new to guns, doesn't know what's considered good. His budget is flexible, he wants what is best for his money. I'll look into the Trijicon HD and see if that is something he'd be interested in.

I like my Trij HD's with orange front, mainly for that orange front. As far as the tritium, night sights are mostly good for transitional light or where you are in darkness shooting into a well lit area. In regards to dark-as-all-get-out, your night sights will become completely black under white light

Meprolight night sights are easy on the wallet and work very well.

HD, HD-XR top notch sights. Seems a waste to put them on a cheapo pistol

I wish he would have spoken to me before buying it; I have a bunch of guns I would have let him shoot first. But he just got excited... I'm sure he'll buy more soon.

                Thanks for the info.

Trijicon HD, or Ameriglo Spartans if you want to spend less money.

I like the Spartans with an orange/green front and yellow rears. In the dark it's very easy to acquire that green front against the yellow rears. To bad Trijicon doesn't offer yellow rears.

                          Trijicon fan here

The new HD are great if you are at the age where focusing on the front sight is a challenge...

Glocks come from the factory, or they use to, with Trijicon sights.
