Thoughts on a vortex strike eagle on an AR10?

I used to own that scope's spiritual kin the Primary Arms ACSS 1-6. Decent scope for the money, and a nice magnification range, but the illumination wasn't daylight-bright and on a 308 I'd be really interested to see if it holds zero. If that's absolutely your budget, I think you'll he happy. It wouldnt be my first choice but I'm sure if your rifle does beat that optic to death Vortex will stand by their product with that warranty of theirs.

I was looking up reviews on it and it's made to withstand a *** kicking from a 5.56 or 7.62. Hopefully it will hold up.

Either magnification Strike eagles will work well with an AR10, though I'd recommend the 1-8 which has a better reticle and 8x magnification.

Just mounted one on my Alex Pro ar10. Seems to be holding up fine but it's only been on one range trip and that was only about 80rounds.

It's made for an AR platform so it should hold up fine, now a SCAR 17 on the other hand "might" kill it.
