Vortex Venom vs Viper

I'm shopping for an optic for my Glock 17 MOS and am on a budget. I've been researching and have narrowed it down to either the Vortex Venom or Viper. The prices are right in line and their Warranty is one of the Best.
Does anyone use either of these that can give some insight on their personal Pros and Cons.

I went with the Viper because it coWitnesses has a lower mount. I'm Midway it was also cheaper than Amazon it came with a $50 gift certificate that helped make the decision too.
