    Cerakoting an ACOG

I have a Daniel Defense M4A1 Mil-Spec+ inbound and need to get an eye for it. I've decided that an ACOG is my choice however I'm not 100% decided on which model yet though I am leaning toward TA01NSN. I would like to get one in matching color however the rifle will be coming in dark chocolate-brown color which is several shade darker than ACOG/Magpul's dark flat earth color. So when I get the ACOG I will need to send it in to be cerakoted.

I see that TA01NSN is available in black (not cerakote) as well as flat dark earth (cerakote). I am wondering which base finish would yield a better result/durability for cerakoting to match the rifle color; the one that has not been cerakoted or the one that has already been cerakoted? I mean, I am sure it will work either way but just am wondering if there is an existing surface that would be more favorable over another. Either way, the ACOG would be getting cerakoted.

Also, would you recommend curing through low-temp oven or by air? Would one method achieve a better result than other?
