    Swedish M38

Hey guys, just purchased a Swedish M38 from classic firearms. Looking to mount a scope since it has already been tapped. What kind of mount would work for the two holes Predrilled into the receiver already?

    Description

Machined From: Domestic 6061 T6 Extruded Aluminum
    Finish: Matte Black Only
Mounting Hardware: Hex Head Screws and Wrench Provided
    Center Spread: 4.275"
    Overall Length of Mount: 6.670"

*The center spread is the distance between the two middle holes, center to center, on your receiver.

This mount is specifically for the Swedish Mauser with the stripper clip hump. This mount comes standard with a bevel on both sides making it ambidextrous.

All bases sit at approximately 0.4

Custom silver anodizing is available upon request, for an additional charge of $15 (a lead time of approximately 3 months is also associated with this custom anodizing. Please call us if you are interested in placing a custom order).

Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount, weighing in at 2-3oz on average.

Your rifle started life as a M/96.. It has been shortened it to M/38 length. That was done to quite a number of M/96's

However the bolt of your rifle has been bent and blued by someone other than a Swedish armory....

The hole pattern is not a pattern for any known Swedish diopter sight. The Sweed's never drilled the front of the receiver, only the rear.

Bubba was responsible for the holes. Who knows why or what was intended for those holes.
      Poke'm with a stick!
