Savage model 10 & 200 yard shooting

I just made my first Savage model 10 purchase witha heavy barrel in 308and need some nice glass and tactical rings. Any suggestions??? I'm on a budget here so for everything no more than $500

For 200 yard shooting go with leupold rings and a bushnell elite 10x42 and spend the rest on match ammo... Swfa ss 10x42 is a good choice too for a little more money.

For just punching paper hard to beat a fixed 10x

Mil/Mil makes it perfect.

Other cheaper scopes but they are not mil mil

I want to use the provided picatiinny rail that came pre-installed on the rifle.
I did notice the version on my rifle has a groove down the middle compared to others that are flat.

Does anyone know or have a quick detach rings on the same rifles out there??

On my AR's I have an American Defense which works well but that's AR's and not Savage bolt action.

Budget QD rings are suboptimal. You pretty much want to set it and forget it. Since you only have one bolt action rifle you don't really need them anyway.
