Optics decision

Man I wish the comparison I did a while back still came up on the hide. I tested them both side by side and have quite a bit of experience behind both. They are both absolutely excellent top tier optics.
Just select the one with the options you want and reticle you want. You can't go wrong between those two decisions. -

If you have the financial means to buy a better scope then do it. Optics are one of those items that do a good job of holding their resale value over time. How often I use it doesn't play into the equation, I just get the right tool for the job and put it to work until my needs change.
Now, I've read an article about how it isn't necessary to spend so much money on an optic that you won't use that much, but in my case I plan on using it about once a month or so. Will that constitute as "don't spend too much" on glass?
Any opinions appreciated for I'm planning on making this purchase ASAP.
Thanks guys
I often times look for a sale or a good deal, but I have yet to actually loose money on an optic... The trick is to buy something that is popular and people actually want.
Either way, if you buy a good scope, you get the benefits of ownership while you have it too.
Between your two options I would personally take the Vortex... I have Gen 1 and have been drooling over the Gen 2 since it was announced.ExtremeXComment
