    You can either...

    Spend money:

    -or-

    Save money:

    Either way... get a Leupold!

I used a Shepherd P1 I have killed deer at ranges from 50-490 Yard. You will not be sorry you bought one of these.

Shepherd Scopes designs and manufactures rangefinding rifles scopes, laser designators, ballistic specific reticles, fire control systems, and binoculars.

That would be unspent dried powder.

What kind of warranty on Shepherd scopes? Couldn't find on their website.

Many people recommend Leopold because of its excellent warranty.
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

The references to Lupy are an "out of date" recommendation. Once upon a time, Leupold was the king of scopes, the best glass, mechanics, reliability going. Times have changed, and times have passed Lupy by. There are so many other scopes that offer better value and actually are committed to continuous improvement.

                      Bushnell Elite 4200
                      Nikon Monarch
                      Vortex Viper
Sightron SII Big Sky and SIII

All offer better value for the $$ than the Big L. The customer service on these scopes (with the possible exception of Nikon) are all as good or better than Lupy.

All suitable for a 300 Win Mag.
