Anyone else buy a Micro T-2 off Amazon?

It's a good deal compared to practically everyone else, and it ships in two days with prime. Mostly positive reviews, with the exception of one dude who claims he received a fake. No one else said that, so he may be working for another vendor. Just wanted to see if anyone else could verify:

If the seller is indeed selling T-2s with colored numbers for the dial, they're fakes. I'd avoid.

What about the reviews saying the glass is clear, zero doesn't shift, waterproof, etc.

Buy a real one for less! http://www.sportoptics.com/aimpoint-micro.aspx Use promo code reddot17 it will be $644 out the door for the one with the same mount you are looking at or even less $$$ if you buy without a mount. Free shipping and no tax, and MANY people on calguns including myself can vouch for sportoptics.com being legit. I've bought two aimpoints and a nightforce scope from them. They have been phenomenal to deal with and extremely competitive price wise.

If you canget it for $644, thats a steal!

AimPoint increased their prices for 2017. I can get you a deal if you want to compare prices.

Yeah, when i saw I could get one without a mount for $624 last summer I jumped on that and have been recommending sportoptics.com to anyone in search of quality optics at insanely good prices. Free next day shipping on my nightforce was awesome too, ordered it Thursday and there it was on my porch Friday and on my rifle at the range that weekend.

If you don't really need the additional waterproofing and NV compatibility, get the H-2 instead and save yourself about $50+. It's essentially the same optic.

What is pictured is a legit T2.

Look at the picture of one of the reviews. The listing was using a stock picture.

Lol, yup, you are right. The photo with the one that has red numbering is 100% fake. The crazy thing is that it is not even remotely close to the real thing.

I think it's going to depend on the actual seller that you're purchasing from on the site. If you buy from directly from Amazon or from Europtic, Primary Arms, or other reputable vendor's Amazon store, you're going to be fine. If you order from some random seller, you're more likely to get screwed.

OP, i would strongly suggest buying from Operation Parts. They will include a heavily discounted QD mount (ADM, KAC, Bobro, etc) of your choice and throw in a free KAC battery cap. I recommend the KAC mounts.

I've spent more money at Operation Parts than i care to remember...
