Is this normal? Want to check before I complain

Got my Vortex Sparc AR from Optics Planet last night (worst experience ever, they've normally been good to me) and opened it up, mounted and turned it on then noticed something blocking a part of the inside of the optic... is this normal? Haven't seen this on my Sparc 2 or Viper PSTs... see picture below.
I just want to make sure before I call up Vortex. Thanks in advance.

Normal. That bump houses the light source. Every red dot has one; they vary in size and position depending on the make and model.

Don't take our word, check out vortex's site, or the photos on Amazon etc.

It does not look normal to me. I have a Spitfire, and I don't have that problem, nor have I ever, with any red dots that I've owned or used. I have seen similar questions and photos regarding red dot optics in the past, but not with Vortex.

And in this one. It would appear it's normal.

Normal. That is the emitter for your dot.

It's called annealing and it's perfectly normal.

Don't own a vortex, but PA and lucid dots have that, I vote normal.
A fuzzy dot might be worth looking in to.

Ya, just got off the phone with Vortex. Said it's completely normal. I guess I just have to get used to it...
While I was waiting for them to pick up I was browsing the Optics Planet Site. The Vortex Strike Eagle was on sale for 329...then they added a 10% military discount...and added free 2 day air shipping...before Vortex even picked up I already ordered another optic 😥

If you're shooting with both eyes open, you're never going to actually see it.

If you really dislike it return it and get an aimpoint, I've got 3 (pro,t1,t2) none of them have the emitter obstructing the view like that.

Thanks for the input guys. I went ahead and tried it out. Sighting it in, it bothered me. But once I started doing some shooting that involved multiple targets, I didn't even notice it was there. You guys were right, shooting both eyes open, you can't notice it, even if you tried.
