    Nikon Prostaff or Burris E1

I was out looking today at a 3-9x40 scope, and have narrowed it down to two scopes in my price range - $150. I can pick up a Prostaff for $100 or the Burris E1 for $150. It is going on a mini 14 for varmitting. I think the Burris is better than the Nikon, but I don't know if it is $50 better.

I went with the Nikon, their spot on ballistics app is pretty cool and you can't beat the price.

Maybe apples to oranges, but I have an older 2-7 Prostaff with a duplex reticle and a year old 2-7 Burris E1. Side by side, considering glass, features, reticle, and build quality, the E1 is a whole lot better than the Nikon.

IMHO, yes, the E1 is at the very least $50 better than the Nikon

I am right now leaning more towards the Burris. I don't know if the BDC is going to help more much or hurt more. I'm shooting 223 probably under 200 yards, when I was playing around with spot on it was more for 200-600 yards.

Burris E1 based upon what you are asking, my opinion, and the information you provided.

I have Burris Fullfields and Nikon Coyote Special, the Burris is better glass in my opinion.

I ended up picking up the Burris. The local store didn't have any Nikon in Stock, so that sealed the deal. The glass is much better than the center point I have on my 22.

Get a Burris prism with the FFIII deal and sell the FF, you can have a poor man's acog for like a hundred bucks.
