I just found an Unertl scope in my stepfathers estate. It is 19" long, has a 1 1/2" Objective, a 1 1/4" Ocular and is marked with an 8, JUNERTL and number 19575. Can you tell me something about it? I've been to Dewy Greiner's site, bt nothing there matches up. Thank You.

Looks like a later model 8X commercial one to me. 12k's were late 40's, so I'd hazard a guess that a 19k was from the 50's or early 60's. Maybe one of the Varmint or "Small Game" ones they made since it's only 19" long.
I was really hot for one of those for quite awhile because I wanted to make a Springfield 1903 Sniper clone. -
Thanks for the info. I went to Dewy Greiner's site, which seems to be the only real information available and couldn't find anything that matched, even the varmint types listed. I was beginning to think it might to some combination of parts. Another guy suggested that it might be from the 60' or 70's. Thanks again.Comment
