Optics advice requested- red dots, mounts and magnifiers, oh my!

I have a new 9mm JR carbine. Haven't shot it yet and I'm bolting **** onto it.

    I have:
30mm 3x Primary arms magnifier with fixed low mount and a fixed 1.5? inch high mount.

20mm Sig Romeo 5 red dot with fixed low mount and fixed 1.41 inch high mount.

Can you recommend a course of action/products to get me to a good place with a mall ninja flip mount / red dot setup? I honestly don't have a lot of experience with optics- I usually shoot irons but this is a 9mm fun gun. I am considering ordering a trs 25 and a cheapo utg flip mount if the romeo won't work out.

    Thank you for your time

Personally I would skip the magnifier all together... I hate those things on RDS units. I bet my bottom dollar you will eventually ditch it.

Just get a simple red dot of your choice and call it a day.

If you want something a bit more exciting that has magnification, consider the Weaver 1-3x scope. Thats a much nicer setup for target and action shooting only because optically its a lot nicer than most of the cheap low budget RDS optics with heavy blue tint.

      My thoughts echo extremex thoughts.

Magnifiers on red dots leave a lot to be desired.

Thanks guys- I will likely buy a 1-3x scope as well then.

Given that I already have the magnifier- any suggestions to the posed question? Are flip mounts generally the same heights as fixed mounts or will I see a lot of variation?

Sometimes where are variations... sometimes its good to go.

If you want it to be as close to perfect as possible its best to buy everything from one manufacture or items known to be a working system.
