ar x39 caliber optic advice

What shooting will you be doing? Close in within typical home defense distances? Grab-and-go-city-collapse? Competition? Fun? Benchrest shooting for tiny groups? Stretching the round out as far as you can?

I put a Vortex Crossfire II 3x9 on mine. Works great. That scope is better than most steel x39 ammo. Those sell for about $140.

I use a Primary Arms 1-6 with bdc. Out to 300 yards the bdc is pretty spot on with the ammo I tried. Haven't taken it out beyond 300 though.

It's amazing how much more accurate the ammo is in an AR, even the cheap combloc stuff.

I'll use it for sport shooting at steel out to 300yds.....close quarters stuff etc.

Any opinions on the PA ak/.300 prism with the acsc reticle?

My rifle was set up for pig hunting, but has been pressed into chicken protection duty. It wears an older nikon 2-7 prostaff with a simple duplex recital. Good for close in out to 200 yards, the max range for the cartridge IMHO
