Only problem here is that you will get: "budget performance"I am in the market for a "budget" red dot.
Save your $$ and buy qaulity the first time...buy cheap, buy twice.

I understand what your saying but in my case I'm not going to put a $400 red dot sight on my $500 mini-14. So in some cases it makes sense to find what the best product in your desired price range is.
Also a lot of people are putting together rifles right now on shoestring budgets and don't have a whole lot extra to spend on an optic. The most important thing for them is to get their AR's, mini-14's, etc, etc while they still can! Nobody is going to try and ban optics any time soon so they have time to step up and buy "GOOD" optics later. It's more important to spend the money on the things that might just get banned soon.Last edited by jgraham15; 02-02-2009, 5:35 PM."In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. Totally understand dude. I have used the Bushnell trophy red/green reticle...and it worked pretty good for me. I still have it and plan on throwing it on the SKS or a shotgun. I had it mounted on my AR...I understand what your saying but in my case I'm not going to put a $400 red dot sight on my $500 mini-14. I have since purchased an Aimpoint for the AR.....but only cuzz I could. Dont feel bad if you need to get something on the less expensive side...you either can afford it or not. It just depends on your budget and your build. If you can save a bit and splurge...cool...if not...cool."I am the bastard son...The expendable one...

OpticsPlanet named the Bushnell Trophy 1x32mm (the one that looks like an ACOG) as the Best Value Red Dot. It's on sale for $154.99. Add to that the 8%off coupon (Code: award8off) and that should come out to $142.59.

Do you think that the bushnell trophy is any better than the barska electro acog knockoff though?? The barska can be had at sportsmans guide for 69.99 and doesn't look too bad. There is a thread here somewhere...... about a range report with the barska electro "m16" sight. Check into that also.Comment

So after looking into a few of these, I may actually pick one up. I had posted a while ago about it potentially being beat out by a barska but they upped the price @ sportsmans guide. I have the chance to get the multi reticle but wanted to find out the reticle size. Any idea what the 1x28 trophy with multi-reticle has for a reticle. I can't find it anywhere.Comment
