Yep, checked, rechecked, tripled checked. Install of the front and rear is good in the hood. Probably got a bad batch (getting paranoid)

Check that front sight, make sure it's installed correctly, and rezero with the smaller aperture peep sight.

Iron Sights in O'side is open til 10pm. I will be out of town next weekend.

To be honest the sights came off my buddies LWRC IC. Don't know if that can be an issue.

Are these purchased form a reputable dealer?

I haven't tried loosening or removing the rail yet so I may try that next time I get to the range.

You should ask him where he got them from. As it stands I would toss these and try a pair of Magpul Pros. Today is a great day to score an online deal.

Sell the Troys on Ebay or get your money back from your buddy. Be interesting to see if you have the same issue after installing a different brand, so wait until after you do that. If it happens with the Magpuls too, return them to the seller.

You should not have to do that.

funny how i had the same issue with my troy rear sight also.

my adjustment wasn't as much as your but it was definately more than it should be.

i'm starting to wonder if the troy rear sights have some trick to installing them? i may pick up a magpul rear sight to zero to test the theory. i just need to get the upper back from PSA as i thought it was the upper.

If you loosen the 4 bolts holding the rail to the collar, there is some lateral "play" that allows you to shift the rail (and front sight) to the left or right without having to twist it. This is how you center the barrel. So if you barrel is already centered in the front opening of the rail there isn't a whole lot you can do short of trying different sights so you can stack tolerances in different ways.

No trick, but just make sure you have the authentic Troy sights and not the counterfeit or airsoft versions. Where did you buys yours from, a reputable dealer?

I'll go to Turners this weekend to try out some new sights if they let me. Hopefully It's the Troy Sights not the gun.

I use a set of Troy flip up sites front & rear. When I zeroed my rifle I didn't have to adjust the rear windage at all. The rear sight was left in its mechanical zero position. I would check all your screws make sure everything is torqued down & use blue Loctite on the threads.

Well I sent pictures of my sights to Troy Inc. and they verified it's authenticity. So yes these sights I have on are in fact legit. The service rep said they were made in 2010. Still waiting on DD's response.

Best fix you can do for a troy product is to take a **** on it, put it back in a box with "From Ruby Ridge" written on it and ship it back to those mother****ers
