SIG KILO2000 Laser Rangefinder Testing / Review

The one item in my shooting kit that I have never owned is a laser rangefinder. It is something that I have always wanted, and on occasion have needed, but never committed the money to acquire one.…

I picked up the SIG KILO2000 and it seems to perform quite well. The real-life +/- accuracy is about twice what they put on paper, but a +/- 3 yard accuracy beyond 1000 yards seems acceptable to me. But I guess people will still nitpick that.

No issues getting readings up to 1300 yards in hazy conditions. Clearer conditions get me out to 2000 yards consistently on semi-reflective surfaces.

Quite annoying they didn't put a 1/4"-20 tripod thread on it, though. Remedied via a Really Right Stuff arca-swiss style adapter.

How does it compare to other rangefinders that you'e tried?

The inconvenience of poor quality lingers long after the thrill of a good bargain.

I don't know how anyone can nitpick that kind of performance at that price. This is probably the best bang for the buck LRF right now.
