    Which aimpoint for me?

I just bought a Bcm 16in mid length upper. Gonna use the rifle for 100 yards or less and drills. I would prefer the optic to be rugged in case of zombies, but that is a secondary concern over function. The budget, I can get the comp 4s no problem, but if I don't get much benefit then saving money is always a good thing. Last concern would be aesthetics. It's gonna have an fde mix, magpul moe sl handguard, pistol grip, and stock.

    Aimpoint pro or Micro dot.

No reason to get anything else.

Pay 350 or pay 500+ for micro.

People can argue that the m4s is better all they want... it aint better. Go pro or T1/H1.

The Pro is great for it's value but I prefer the Micro H2 personally.

While I don't have a lot of AR's by some standards, I run Aimpoint Comp M4s optics on all of them. While I won't argue pro over Comp, with M4s you get 3 times the battery life from a regular AA battery, you get 16 power settings over 10 and your adjustments at distance are different. Whether that means one is "better" than the other is your decision.

I think I may go Pro and save some money. Aimpoint doesn't make any claim to the ruggedness of the Pro, does anyone have any input on that?

If you can afford the Comp M4, get the T2. The M4 is big and heavy and that's why most people don't choose it. I have a PRO, two T1s, and a T2. The T2 has better optics, lens caps, and seems better built than the T1 or Pro.

The PRO come with what I think is a terrible mount, I ended up spending to buy a LaRue mount to replace it. That makes the PRO a heavy $550 optic. The T1 is fine, I like mine, but the T2 is really a good improvement.

I considered the M4, but decided it was just too big and heavy for my carbine.

I put my T2 on one of my SCAR 17s.

EDIT: I also have a Trijicon MRO which is a very good optic and can be purchased significantly cheaper than a T1. Has long battery life like a T1 too, but has a much wider field of view. Botach has been having a good sale on them off and on.

sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

Where are you getting a PRO for $350 or a T1 for $500? Unless you are getting a special discount.

To be honest, the price, plus the fact that aesthetically the pro looks awesome, is why I'm going to end up going for it. The only thing I was slightly worried about was ruggedness but I don't think that is much of a concern. My mall ninja days are coming to an end.

None. Go with the Trijicon MRO. We've sold them to countless departments

We've got an unbeatable price, buy one for less than the price of an inferior Aimpoint PRO.

Bought my T1 used for like $500 or a little less. I buy a lot of gun parts used, they arent like car parts when they get used everyday. They still look brand new and you save a good amount of money.

No, the difference between the Pro and M4s is 1.6 oz. .25" longer and .19" higher. Your comparison is severely exaggerated.
