Is my new Scope the problem???

    Hey guys,

I have not been out hunting not so many times in my life my father first got me into hunting when i was young but due to being a child it was not so often, i missed out on a lot of trips but i would catch some when i could.

As i got older and could get a firearms licence i started to go out with farther and gave it ago in my late 20s after spending time with my farther and friends i started to enjoy it, so i wen't out and got my own first rifle and set off from there. Since i got my rifle i go on hunting trips all over America with friends and random hunting groups plus iv'e met a lot of friends along the way.

I have a Winchester 43, 22 Hornet it is factory drilled for a scope with checkered wood, etc, bore and after market clip, i have not long found a Vortex crossfire scope II on a used USA classified ads scope site.
Anyway about a week before i went out on a trip and the chamber jammed up wouldn't shoot or cock back to release the cartage so i took the rifle to see the firearm man and he fixed it so i went out again and bang same thing happens. Then this a weekend just gone again and it happened again? Does anybody know why my rifle keeps jamming it is literally driving me crazy?? any tips or maybe parts i need to replace would be great!!!!

    google scope picture below

    Thanks

There is nothing in your story that would point to the scope.
Why are you questioning the scope?
As far as the jam goes, I would take the bolt apart and inspect very closely.

Make sure your chamber is clean and you do not have excessive oil in the chamber.

This... check to see if the bolts for the rings or base haven't protruded into the receiver. This will cause a bolt to bind.

Winchester 43's are known to have occasional issues. If you do a few google searches you will see some that have head space issues, internals wearing pretty quickly, etc.

While it would be good to see some pictures, you may want to really look over the casings that were extracted from the gunsmith and look over the internals for signs of wear or damage.
