    Auto on/off red dot

I'm putting together an AR pistol and need some recommendations on a red dot sight. As the title says, I'd prefer something automatic.
I've looked at the Sig Romeo series but haven't seen many reviews.
Trying to keep the price in the $400 price range.

I have a Holosun 403c, with the Solar power. Though I will likely NEVER need it in a closed door situation, I find that it sometimes has issues auto on in a lower (indoor) light situation. If I turn it on manually, no big deal.

If you look hard enough, you will find a 4moa Aimpoint H1 used for around that price.

You will not need an on/off anymore since its 1 battery for 5 years of continuous use.

        +1

An Aimpoint Pro is another option. It's also in that price range and is "auto on" (you just leave the optic on the medium setting and it will run for 5 years continuously).

Eotechs are auto-off all on their own, even when you dont want them to.

Not automatic: I have a primary arms micro dot that has been on .308, .223, 7.62x39, and it is still spot on. The dot is 2MOA. I have vortex, bushnell, and many others I have used and the PA micro dot is by far the most reliable.

Auto off: Vortex strikefire 2 with 2x but it is 4 MOA IIRC. If you have more to spend then by all means spend it, but get a 1-4x with a proper illuminated reticle for the money your willing to spend.

              just my opinion.
