Hey guys,
So I finally take out the 2nd safe queen of 2 years (new, and yes, I suck) - a 20" build with a Super Sniper SS20X42 I got 2nd hand last year. I start at the 25 yrd to zero in the scope. I manage to hit paper for first 3 shots but very low right. I try to make adjustment to the knobs. Here's there the problem start. The knob at top for direction wasn't clicking as I turn. If any, it stays at the same line. The knob for elevation is tight as #@$%^. I noticed after a few more shots, I can't even hit paper. I keep my left eye after keeping steady the aim and rifle. Impact shows I'm way rigth, and off paper. After 12 shots, I stopped and I figured I'd checked it at home as I don't have any kind of tools with me. This is mounted on a Larue QD LT-104.
Got home, loosened up the set screws the to open the caps and adjusters. Even with a screw driver, the elevation is tight as hell, but will turn/click with a more than decent force. I stopped after a try fearing to damage the scope. I noticed that the cap for L/R adjuster (sorry, I don't know the term for the top adjuster), wasn't going all the way down to the first line. So I loosened, noticed the O-ring has a little twist/dent. I put the cap back on, a few taps to amke sure it's all the way down, and it'll set all th way down but almost 3 lines still show. Is this normal starting point?
Should I just send the scope back to Super Sniper for some service check?
