    Binoculars recommendation

Can you guy gives me some bino recommendation from your current or experiences with different models ?

I currently use cheap 25 bucks bushnell from ebay and it sucks . Gives me headache.

I think when it comes to glass , you get what you paid for . Im willing to spend upto 150 to 250 . Would be carrying around while hunting . 10 or 12 x would be good choice ?

    Thanks in advance

I have bought several $150-250 binos.
Then I finally spent the money for a Zeiss set. Cost on sale was $900. I wish I had done that many years ago.
My 8X binos work better than my 10X Nikons or Bushnell's. Also better than a 20X set of Simmon's.

For most hunting 8X works well. Often 10X or more shake too much to be useful unless on a tripod.

Do youself a favor and wait until you can get some excellent glass and that will be over $500-600 and usually closer to $1000 and up.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

You can get some really good old made in Japan binoculars off ebay cheap. I got 7x50 Binolux that are really bright and clear, little big though. What I use most are are either 6x30 Solar or 6x30 Aristo, they're both really clear too, but not as bright as the Binolux. I'm sure they're not as bright as some of the newer Binoculars, but they don't give me a headache.

Go with steiners, they aren't that much more expensive than the cheaper alternatives but the quality you get is unbeatable

The Vortex Diamondbacks in 10x42 would fit the bill. I have them and they are very nice for the price. They are universally well regarded in inexpensive binos.

Really need into look the zen Rays or Nikon monarch 7.
Yes it's double your budget. Talking 300-400 not 1000.
10x42 is all you need and easier keep steady than a 12 power.
Don't care for vortex unless you get into their better stuff.
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

I'm with Divernhunter on the magnification question. even 10x gets a little shaky after a few minutes let alone hours. I bring out the 10x's when I know its going to be a lot of long viewing and mostly supported, Mulies, antelope, etc.

Also, get yourself a nice harness, not neck strap. Worth their weight in gold.

                Funny Trevor is on here.
I was thinking About mentioning tract optics , but I don't have any personal experience with them. They do look nice as well as their scopes.

I love Calguns, even back to the Op days...

Our Tekoa is a little over what teh OP wants to spend, but is nice Schott Glass coming out of Japan. Don't want to threadjack, but I'm here if you want to ask questions or start a thread.

I use steiner military/marine 10x50. The shake isnt bad unless you have had a pot of coffee just prior. They're built like a tank. If you are in Bakersfield, i can meet you at 5 dogs and you can look through em, as thats where i normally bring them besides work

I use Leupold Yosemite BX1 8x30. Yeah, they're made in china, inexpensive, and advertised as kid's binoculars, but the glass is great. They're light, comfortable to hold and look through, and very durable, plus they have the Leupold warranty (that's never been used). I've spent a lot more, but always go back to them.

10 for me never had an issue on the shakes and when your picking apart the side of a hill 1000yds away normally your sitting for awhile. 15's stay in the truck or go in the pack to check size before the stalk if they are far off

I bought my Minox many years ago now they are twice the price I paid.....ouch

Whatever pair you get, make sure you adjust them for EACH OF YOUR EYES.

                            That makes a HUGE difference.
