    Sighting in an EOtech

Any tips on sighting in an EOtech? I am installing it on a mini 14 and just wondered if it's any different than sighting in other scopes. Thanks

Grab a dime or a penny a couple hundred rounds of ammo and go at it. Seems to help to smack it after adjustments to get it to settle in. I really have no proof of that other than it seemed to work for me . I would adjust a little at a time with no change then I started to smack it. To simulate recoil or whatever ?
Eo-techs do work as good as their supposed to.
Just turn it off after your done.

    Have fun!

I used a laser sighter (bullet type for sightmark). But I only have 13 yrds from the furthest portion of home to the garage door. (Those laser sighters are kewl!). :P

I tried to sight mine in at the range today after some issues on my longer build, but forgot to bring a coin. You can sight it fine at the range. But what I'm learning is it's best to try and sight it while its on a best to remove the other variable - me. Wasn't too bad trying to sight it w/o a bench rest and me just holding it up. But a little left and slightly high. No tight groupings here (more like 8"). But can be done, just more bullets. :P
