California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.

Cool looking air rifle . no i would never put a plastic part on a real AR it wouldn't last 2 minutes on there . i have no confidence in a $20 handle it will self destruct like the Barska i had

Agreed but you might get away with a carry handle but that would be about it.

My neighbor put a .22 red dot on his AR and it literally lasted like two shots. First shot lost zero. Second shot no more dot.

The third shot was through the optic itself as he ripped it off his rifle and threw it down range.

So I guess the answer is, glass went flying.

That reminds me, last week I went to turners to buy a laser bore sight, and on the box it's said "a proud American company". So I flipped it over and yeah, it was made in China.

Tons of stuff like that buddy. Look at apple. I think they started the "designed in america built in china" trend.

With the exception of food items I don't mind if there is no choice however given the option I prefer to support American based workers and companies.

That works. I had theirs before even though I run BCM now.

Yup, totally agree. When we did our remodel all of our appliances were made here, with some having foreign parts, I'm sure of that. Funny thing the only Chinese part on any of my rifles is a vortex sparc 2, put that on a 5.45 upper. We try to do our best here, even if it means we're paying a little bit more

That is the proper disposal method.

I told him that was his only option (kidding of course) after ignoring me and buying that red dot.

                              me: dude that won't last

                              him: I need something

me: that will be just like the nothing you already have in short order

                              two shots later. yeah.

He had an aimpoint on web order when he picked up that armalite I was posting about in another thread. Of course the excitement that hits us all over our first AR hit him. Had to do something. Now. Like right now.

Quick trip to walmart buying the only optic they had. Took ten times longer to hunt it down, buy it, and mount it than it actually lasted. Complete waste.

Ahhh, I think a "bad" day of shooting is like a bad day of fishing. Still beats work.

Was pretty funny seeing him blast the red dot with the as new box and receipt still sitting on our bench.

Before "execution" he took the battery out and saved it for his garage door opener.

him: at least it's not a total loss

                              me:

The price one pays for crappy stuff.

A buddy of mine bought some cheap chicom iron sights and we couldn't get him zeroed. No amount of adjustment got him zeroed.

Interestingly enough, we were able to get his $50 red dot toy zeroed. It held zero too throughout the day of shooting. lol I was amazed.
