I think the only thing you might be missing is some people like myself prefer an MOA turret & MOA reticle subtensions. Most of the scopes in this magnification range are either BDC or MIL reticles.

Hmm, well MOA is easier to understand for a lot of people (including me), but I don't see dialing a low magnification optic on an AR. Of course if the rifle is not .223 then it might make sense (thinking out loud). Except it doesn't have zero stop.

To me a capped BDC reticle works for the shooting I do. Since it is a relatively low magnification reticle, I'm not going to shoot mid-long range with it. Which means I won't be dialing.

Well, if it works for you, go for it.

Definitely an etched reticle.

They are targeting 3 gun competitors and hunters (according to their marketing). Makes sense to me.

2 hour auto shutoff should be more than adequate for hunters, 3 gun, etc....really only a military user could draw complaint with that, which i don't think this scope is meant for.

the 10,000 battery life on minimum brightness setting is bothersome to me because the min. brightness setting is too low for many conditions...so what is the battery life on medium brightness or max brightness is what I want to know (and might have to test....we'll see).

If zero stop isn't a primary concern (or ends up being a feature) then i think the Vudu 1-6x becomes a prime contender for the Vortex Razor Gen II or other $1500+ 1-6x scopes.

Well, two hours could be problematic for a hunter too. Dense forest in the afternoon, you turn on the illumination. Two hours and 10 minutes later you come across a big buck. With only moments to shoot you draw the rifle to your shoulder and...the illumination is off.

I'd rather know that the scope is on.

I agree. It needs an auto on capability.

Just got the mount from EoTech in today...pretty interesting, it is a one piece mount with a QD lever clamp.

Doesn't resemble any other designs close enough (that I'm aware of) to make me think it is being OEM produced for them...maybe they are making their own? Interested to find out...
