OLD RETRON RN-M01 Night Vision

I have an OLD RN-M01 night vision scope and am trying to get it to work right. I put in new batteries and it lit up just fine. The problem now is it won't shut off and I have to keep taking the batteries out so they don't drain.

PLEASE HELP.
