I played with one at a Bass Pro a few months back. I really don't see how its worth the price or any better than say, EOTech or Aimpoint (for half the price).

Only reason I could see paying for the LCO would be if you wanted the D-EVO combo. IMHO.

I was about to buy one a few months back because that 1 mos dot would be great for shoot longer ranges in 3-gun. I Talked to several guys who raved about them but in the end I just couldn't justify that price tag. I stick with my Trijicon MRO.

Leopold just messed up their website.

They were selling the DEVO with LCO for 2K together.

Can't find that now. Im a Leopold fan, but I can't justify $1000+ for a 1x red dot.

$600 for the deltapoint red dot even is overpriced.

I have shot the LCO that was being T&E'd.

Initial impressions - the 1 MOA dot is very crisp and I appreciate the small size of the dot especially from using EOTechs.

The lack of overhanging protection around the rear lens is somewhat concerning but also gives way to the large window.

Under magnification the dot was seems oblong vertically but still usable due to the 1 moa size.

Does the LCO have the same thermal drift problem as the EOTech?

Does it have any other potential problems?

Is the field of view as wide as the EOTech?

I had my EOTechs refunded, but my old eyes need a wide field of view. I don't mind the price, I only have a few hunting years left in me and want to make the most of them, but no stores near me stock any, and I am reluctant to buy one without at least looking through it.

All Red Dot optics have some thermal drift. You will likely never notice it.

Due to the longer optical tunnel, the FOV is not quite as wide and there is a bit of a tunnel effect compared to the EOTech (I compared them side by side).
