Scope/Optic Mount MOA? What does this mean?

Looking for a QD scope mount with 30mm rings and I keep running across some that are 0 moa (which is what I think I need) but there are others that say 20 or 30 moa. What does the moa refer to when shopping for scope mounts?? Any insight from the community is appreciated, and ridicule at my ignorance expected. Thanks!

a 0 moa scope is machined to be parallel to the bore.
a 20 moa scope is machined to be angled 20moa down.

that helps when you are going to do longer-range shooting. if you scope has 50moa total adjustment and you were able to zero it right in the middle, you'do only be able to "come up" 25 moa in the scope before it ran out of adjustment for longer shots.

but if you have a 20moa rail, that scope would zero with 45moa of upwardss adjustment.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
