    Kmr for spr build?

    Hey calgunners,

I'm working on an spr build and was curious as to whether or not the Kmr would be a good rail for that. I'm also considering the Daniel defense lite rail iii. I like the light weight and modularity of the Kmr, but the lite rail seems more bomb proof but heavier. Let me know what you think!

15" KMR will be a good bet. Light, modular and slim.

SPR's can be rather heavy, an 18" HBAR barrel adds a good amount of heft. Throw in a bipod, scope and optic mount, buis and you've got a barbell of a gun.
I built my SPR with a 12" carbon fiber guard and an Aero Precision SPR mount and it took off close to 1lb, from it's original 15" aluminum handguard and 2 offset rings.

I just weighed my SPR yesterday, which has a 20" Green Mtn stainless barrel and a UTG Pro keymod 15" hand guard. With no scope, magazine, or bypod it's just 7.3#. And it shoots .5 MOA using my hand loads.

With its SWFA 10x scope and Larue mount, it's till only 8.75#. So an SPR needn't be a tank.

Oh and anyway, I think the KMR would be a great handguard for an SPR. Been tempted to get one myself.
