    Vcog the Acog unknown Brother.

So what's the skinny on the vcog? Need to find an optic for my wifes rec7. Looking for a variable optic. Is there a better option at that price point(2300.00) The plan for the gun is 0 - 600 meters. Other requirements are something close to crosshairs no red dot also if it runs on a battery and the battery dies the crosshairs pointing device needs to still be there.
    Thanks in advance

I've never shot one but I looked through it once and didn't care for the eye box, reticle or the weight. If choose the newer 1-6 Accupoint over it.

IMO the Kahles 1-6 runs circles around the VCOG overall, many 3 gunners are switching to them even over the Swarovski 1-6's. Give us a call at 916.670.1103 for more details and Calguns pricing.

The Kahles is a much better buy then the Vcog IMHO. I still run Kahles' little built for hunting Swarovski Z6i which is the same scope just less rugged exterior. I do like the BRT reticle better then the Kahles and anything else with the exception of the new Leupold VX6 Firedot BDC reticle.

I have to agree on the Kahles. Not even a contest. IMO, the Kahles 1-6 is the best 1-6 scope on the market.

Best bang for the buck tho would still be the Vortex Razor 1-6x.

I have had a VCOG 1-6X for over a year now probably 5K rounds down the range using it. I have been very happy with it.

There is a known problem with the VCOG. It is impossible to focus the reticle so that it is clear on both 1X and 6X.

I read about this problem. But, I did not believe it. I bought one and found out it was true. Fortunately, I was able to return it.

                P.S. I am a Trijicon fan. I have 8 ACOGs.
