Primary arms MD ADS distorted dot?

I received one today via fed ex. I took ADS out looked through it, noticed the reticle had a non symmetrical distortion to the bottom of the dot. I tried rotating it around to see if was a mechanical defect. Didn't do anything. I asked somebody else to look at it and they noticed it too. Red glare/reflection was also present indoors. Outdoors many of these issues seemed to go away?

Far as I know I don't have a astigmatism.

Do you have astigmatism? I do. Even my Aimpoint has the distortion indoors. It lessons a bit out side in bright light. This is common with a lot of people to a certain degree.

Take a piece of paper, poke a small tiny pin hole through it. Hold it in front of your eyes about an inch or two away. Look through it like a peep site with the red dot site on the other side. If it is clear dot, this may indicate you have astigmatism.

What about the other persons eye? who tested it? I Just took another picture, dot appears non symmetrical with lots of glare.

The two common tests I'm aware of are rotating the dot and taking a picture of it - you could always ask PA directly, but so far it sounds like it's your eye (and your friend's eye).

My brother who is 25 says he looked through it. To him it doesn't appear crisp, he noticed a difference when looking at it with another eye. He says it's not symmetrical like the picture.

Damn, you can see the imperfection on that 2 MOA dot? I just looked at my PA PACRSL and I can't determine if the dot is a perfect circular dot or there are some imperfections. At max setting, I do get the halo too. I think that is normal. I think for the price range, that is normal. Here are some pictures I took of my PACRSL:
