Anyone using either the prostaff or monarch lines of scopes. I've been looking for something for my 7 mag and these keep popping up, I've read alot of reviews and people seem extremely happy with there Nikon's. I just wanted to see if anyone here has any experience.

I've had at least a dozen nikons. I'd skip the Monarch, didn't much like the tight eye relief. The Prostaff and buckmasters are great scopes, but a Leupold is not much more.Comment

I'd get another Nikon before another burris. The lower end burris scopes have some halo effect that the nikons dont.Comment

My Nikon red dot monarch was a bad experience. Support was also weak.God so loved the world He gave His only Son... Believe in Him and have everlasting life.

Save yourself all the trouble and just get a Leupold if it is for hunting. A duplex reticle sighted in 2.5-2.75" high at 100 yard and you are ready to hunt. Just hold on the animal at ranges of 500yards or less and you will have meat in the freezer
If just a fair weather plinking rifle get almost anythingA 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I've got a Burris Xtr II. Zero complaints. I'd consider one of thoseComment

Give the Redfield "Revolution" scopes a look. They are made by Leupold these days, are top quality and warranted for life. I have four of them on various rifles and they have performed very well.Comment

I have a few Nikon Monarchs on different rifles... I really like the fast focus eye adjustment ,,as i used to share my rifles with my son ... Excellent glass and 4inchs of eye relief through the power scale... I just mounted a 1.5x6 monarch gold an my new ar build and am really happy with it... So clear edge to edge... It is a used lnib scope with warne quick detach rings I almost stole on ebay a few years ago,, and just sitting in my safe... I was always concerned that Natchez always had a ton of "reconditioned' Nikons on sale,, but I have never had a problem with mine... Give them a good look thru... Cheers..Comment

The only negative thing I can say about Nikon is that they don't have a lifetime warranty. At least they didn't when I was looking for a scope 5 years ago.

The Monarch line is made in Philippines and has quality glass. Really liking mine on my 10/22.Comment

Fine on a 10/22, plinking rifle or fun rifle not used in adverse conditions.
Get a Leupold for a hunting rifle
