    Budjet 1" mount/rings for AR?

Ok so I ordered a couple of the Bushnell AR Optics 3-9x 40mm scopes, I plan on trying one on my Colt Comp HBAR Flat top and maybe one on my Daewoo DR200.

I'm a budget kind of guy, I almost never shoot my firearms except my daily carry, so I'm looking for a decent budget minded scope mount or rings, I have some nice Pro Mag mounts here but there for 30MM.
I do like the one piece mounts, $50-$75 range is my target, but if cheaper works fine, I'm good with that.
    Any suggestions?

I have a set of Leupold rings on a Trijicon AR riser. Paid like $40 total from midway. I like this setup way better than the $90 Vortex mount I tossed in the trash.

The UTG QD mounts are pretty decent for budget oriented applications:

Get the SSALT AR mount from SWFA. It comes with reducing rings so you can use it on either 30mm or 1" tubes.

          Rings for flat top:

I am awaiting a 3-9x40 scope. Will report if it fits okay on my flat top rail. High rings may be required, not sure, mixed comments on Amazon site. Above are reportedly medium rings, some have said they are really low rings, not medium.

What do you mean by budget?

A low cost 1-piece mount for a flat-top AR is 3x the cost of low cost 2-piece rings. A 1-piece is better for an AR.

The best 1-piece for the price is the Colt Competition Mount. It is made in the USA. I got mine from Walmart for $70 last year, but they no longer have it. http://www.walmart.com/ip/44678515

For low cost 2-piece rings the Weaver Quad-Locks are very good, but they might not work on an AR because it is better to have an extended front ring.
They cost about $15 at Walmart.

You could have sold in on Calguns, and got some of your money back.

Yes I'd prefer a one piece, hoping for under $75, I really like that Colt mount, but it sure looks low? But I'm open to different options, especially if it works and it's inexpensive.

This is an extended ring. (It is actually called Cantilever not extended)

I though they were more common, but I only found one on Midway website. There use to be a lot of different brands of cantilever mounts available 10+ years ago.

On an AR rifle the cantilever mounts allow the scope to be mounted further towards the front.

Too bad the scope is 1" I have some decent 30MM cantilever mounts already, wish I had the filler rings, isn't 1" about 24 or 25MM?

Carcassonne- Thanks for explanation, it is appreciated! I do note that that solitary link is for 30mm, not 1" tubes.

Hope that I'm fine with the Weaver Quad-Locks either medium or high on a flat top AR. I don't want to spend any more money on AR which is solely a range gun for me! I already have both, will need to return one. Intend to lap the rings to 'perfection', haha. Scope will be a 3-9x40 Nikon Buckmasters II.

Also, I'd like to be able to co-witness with the expensive Magpul steel BUIS that I installed front and rear. Your view on that- Weaver medium vs. high-both packages unopened, due to receive scope tomorrow.
