The riser will work, but attaching a rail to a rail for added elevation ends up being a bit clunky. However, it is a pragmatic approach if you need more elevation without breaking the bank on a new scope or pricey mount. Personally, except for extreme cases, I use the AI mounts. They are solid, no-frills mounts that come in 30 and 34mm with cants of 0, 18, 28, and 45 MOA with varying heights. For a standard 34mm scope, the AI 5656 is the one I use as I have found that 45 MOA is usually about right to still allow for a 100 yard zero. The AI mounts go for only $170ish vs. $300+ for many other large mounts.

Got some of the risers in today's mail and they won't work.
They are just picatinny rails with a flat bottom to them.
I need a picatinny rail that fits a picatinny rail that has some cant to it.
Hopefully the Badger rail shows up real soon.
