    Leupold CDS scopes

    Anyone have and use these?

How hard is it to switch calibers out in the field?

They look like just what I need if they work.

    Just bought one.

    Sir,

Just bought one, 3x9x40 with the Wind Plex reticle. Put it on a Ruger All Weather in 7mm-08. Optics are exceptionally clear. I will not be buying the caliber specific dials. I hand load, I will adjust the dial the loads. I will shoot at given distances, and use the dial accordingly. I will use the JBM ballistics calculator as guide also. A2

The feedback I get from customers is that the CDS adjustments aren't that precise.

Or off the paper at 50 precise?

Why not get a dial for your handloads?

Ill be picking up a 4.5-14x 40mm with Wind Plex and CDS. The VX-3 is a excellent hunting scope. The weight cant be beat. Its going on my Pre-64 M70 270Win.

As in if you turn the turret one click it might move the scope 1/2 inch at 100 yards instead of 1/4 inch. Or one inch or 1/3 of an inch.
