    Anyone work on Russian scope?

I have a POSP Russian sniper scope that takes either one battery of one size or two of another size. I think I put in two of the single size as the cop does not illuminate. Does anyone know anyone ne who can fix this expensive paperweight? I can be reached at 916 588-8345 frank

It sounds like your scope take 2 button cells or 1 DL1/3N (like the Aimpoint uses). You should check to be certain the LED is still good and that it is making a good connection. I once worked on a PSOP that had a finicky contact until I thoroughly cleaned the receptacle it screws into.

You can check the LED using your DVOM on the continuity setting. Check using the polarity of the probes both ways as an LED only has continuity one direction.
