    Nikon Buckmaster

I have a Nikon Buckmaster bought several years ago, rarely used. I recently mounted on my Savage Mark 2. The windage got stuck to the right. I cranked it all the way to the left, yet it barely moved. So my POI keeps hitting about 2 feet to the right, whether it's 20 yards or 100yards. Any advice?

Thanks. But prior to sending it away, I want to make sure that it isn't user's fault.

I have full confidence in you that you know how to turn the turrets

The only thing I can think of is if the turrets are pulled up for resetting the zero.

Hm...Interesting. You may be right. Come to think of it, there was something different about that turret this morning. I'll check that again in the morning. Thanks for the tip.

Iv had a Nikon p223 replaced because of a broken turret. They're customer service is awesome. Took me about 2 weeks turnaround to get a new scope to my door tho.

Don't think there is a zero reset on the Buckmaster. Bought a new VX-3 last year and the windage turret was broken. It happens, send it to Nikon.

One thing to try before you send it in is to tap the turret with the handle of a screw driver. Sometimes when I mount a scope and am bore sighting, the turrets don't track well and tapping them gets them going. I see this issue with older scopes much more than newer models. Won't hurt to give it a try.
