    Which trijicon ta31 acog bac?

Thinking of buying my first acog. Any experiences with the horseshoe or acss reticle? And which color tritium is more flexible for a variety of scenarios? Thanks

Since you will be shooting paper and not people I would recommend the crosshair. I have 4 ACOG's, one horse shoe, one chevron, 2 crosshair. The cross hair is easier to get precise shots, very clean and easy to use. The horse shoe is my least favorite. I find the red to be the easiest to pick up. Some perfer green but I find the green gets lost in wooded enviroment on dark overcast days or in covered settings where light is low.

    Hope this helps.

I do like the green crosshairs myself.. But only on the 3x30 models.. I find the crosshairs on the 4x great at 25-50yards.. But once I get into the 100yard range.. The 100 and 200 meter lines bunch up together making it harder to use..

I agree crosshairs are nice but all the lines below get blurry for me due to my astigmatism so I need something simpler and easier to see for long distance.

If you can't take advantage of the BDC reticle, and you need magnification, you're better off with a scope.

Out of your selections, I'd go with the ta31H red. The acss gets too busy for me visually. I went with the Ta11f route. Better eye relief but heavier optic.

Nah I specifically titled the thread "which trijicon ACOG". Thanks though but I'm only interested in an acog at this time regardless.

Yea true. I'm also a classic kinda guy with the looks of the ta31 and its proven performance by the US military. This being said I'm leaning toward a ta31h.

You know where u could get my hands on one?

AFAIK, the ACSS is a Primary Arms exclusive:

                            TA31-G-ACSS.
