Rock Mount Bi-Pod

I Got a Rock Mount Bipod. I am going to be mounting on my 24inch Stag AR15. I wanted to know if any of you have used one and your opinion its about half the price of a harris. It seems good quality to me, but you guys are the Experts.

Well, you get what you pay for. You figure you dropped all that dime on your AR, and you have a STAG, not STIG. Spend the extra dollar and get the Harris... the real deal.

I have two and they are well made. There is very little difference in the Harris and the Rock Mount. They are made in China and excellent for the money.

Some care about having name brand on everything they own. I say Quality is Quality.

I would say rock mount is a decent copied of harris, but the springs are just horribly soft.

I have it mounted and it seems stable i just wanted to know if anyone had any problems with the Bipod in the past.

I have one and it is in no way comparable to the Harris I also have. It is constantly loose, the springs pop off the legs when closed too quickly, it is not as "solid" when deployed and shot from a bench, it rattles, and finally it just feels flimsy. Its primary use now is on my sons play gun.

the one I had got returned. It needed to be tightened every few shots. Crappy.

$40. at Walmart in Durate. Can't beat that price, so I bought three. Yes, they are made in China and yes, they do come loose. But if you take them apart and blue color locktite them, they work well. I notice my Harris bipod legs spreads wider than the Rock Mounts, which works out better on my 700 than my 20" Stag15.

Buttom line, the Rock Mount BiPods are bang for bucks, just could use a little fine tuning.

I have one I bought used, and I don't know if the original owner tightened things up, but mine's been just fine - solid and stable. I don't have a Harris, as I'm not a big bipod user, so I can't compare directly.

The two I own have been excellent also. None of the problems RobG described in his post. Sounds like someone ran over his with a truck.
