Vortex Razor PRE HD ?????

I have a friend who has a Pair of Vortex Razor PRE HD 10x50 or 10x42 (he did quite remember) binos and he said he would give them to me for $175 but the only kicker is that they have some moisture in them and will need to be sent back to Vortex to get fixed. I am currently using a pair of Steiner Predator C5 10x42. My question is, are the Razor non HD's that much better in quality and how is the price and all with the Razors sound. I haven't found much at all on the Razors pre HD. How is dealing with the vortex warrantee as well? Thanks for any and all input!

Vortex has the best warranty in the industry bar none. Deal with confidence.

So if I got the broken pair, I could have their fixed under warranty without any problem? Wasn't sure if warranty was transferable

As long as the damage was not deliberate or just cosmetic, they will fix it or replace it.

Send them back and have them fixed, and IF they can do it, then buy them from him? (I'm sure they'll be able to. Or replace with an upgrade.)
