Got a NC Star long eye relief scope on my .454 Puma carbine, over 1000 rounds later the cheapo scope is still going strong.
NC Star scopes come with a lifetime warranty and the distribution center is located near LA in the City Of Industry; you have nothing to lose if you try them.

I was considering those as well. My major concern with them was the short eye relief, especially on the 3-9x version. They look pretty stout though, and I like the quick release feature and 1/2 moa adjustments too. After a lot of consideration I ended up going with a Vector Optics 1.75-6x32 from Ebay. For the money, I'd say the NC Star's are definitely worth a try if you can live with the eye relief.

Constructive criticism is the only way a company's product evolve. I am sure NcStar knows the quality of their product better than anyone on this board. After all you get what you pay for.

For a fixed power scope, NCstar is fine, but adjustable, you can see the difference between other scope. If you want a 3-9x, Nikon Monarch series is a good series to go with. Nikon optics are as clear as any high end manufacturer, great warranty and I guarantee you will be able to tell the difference between the NCstar and the Nikon (optical clarity at range will be 10 times better with Nikon//eye strain is reduced).

go to SWFA.com and they have a samples list, where they sell demonstration models and ones with busted boxes at a SERIOUS discount. You will be able to get a GREAT deal on Quality optic. You get what you pay for and why buy junk?

I was also curious as to how well this optic functions. Has anyone tried it out?

I have their fixed 4x on a sig 522. Very cool for cheap and seems consistent so far. Never had a use yet but do like the bi-colored illum reticle

I have a NCStar on my SKS for about 12 years now....still holding zero after at least 5000 rounds.
