    Vortex Strikefire II

I just bought one due to the seemingly excellent value and overwhelmingly positive reviews. Anyone have one and if so what are your thoughts and experiences?
I KNOW Aimpoint is KING and I normally run aimpoint, BUT this time around I had to shave a little cost and the 300-400 savings was why I went with it...That said, I am not expecting it to be no **** tough like an aimpoint BUT I do not generally jump out of planes or wade through swamps and bust *** in the desert any longer. So aimpoint while great is a little overkill for me....Will I get one down the road...YEP. But for now I have the strikefire II and will do a report in a few days when I get the rifle.

I have the Gen 1 Strikefire on my PSA Carbine. It's nice that I can go Green or Red Dot. Simple and clean. It's a 4MOA, so the dot obscures a longer distance target. If you want a smaller dot, go with the SPARC II or Hi-Lux Micro Max B dot - both 2MOA. I have the doubler on the Strikefire but it's almost useless.

My friend has an Aimpoint CompML3. His dot is much cleaner than mine, as expected.

The Strikefire takes up a lot of real estate on the rails, but I still like the Green/Red option.
I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.

I own two, both mounted on AR's. One is a red dot only gen 1, that I have had for five years on the same AR. Still works great and never loses its zero. I was gifted a gen 2, that I put on a low cost build for my son. Not a lot of rounds fired using it, but works great. I also have a SPARC on a AK, it's also been working great for five years.
I've been very happy with everything I've bought from Vortex, I have one of thier 1x6 on a SCAR 17 while the ACOG sits in its case in the safe.
            It will serve you well.

On another note, were you able to recover any of your stollen weapons. I missed it if you had any updates.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.
