    Trijicon TA44S vs TA44C??

Does anyone know the difference between the currently advertised TA44C and the S version? Every review online is about the TA44S-10 model but Trijicon doesn't even advertise that the S model is for sale....

    Any ideas?

Hmm....weird. All the models on their website all show C regardless of color. The models I found online were TA44SR (red), TA44SG (green) and TA44SA (amber).....but all has the S in it.

The TA44SG-10 is an awesome sight. Because of astigmatism, it replaced my Aimpoint T1s. Even if I didn't have astigmatism, I would own these over any RDS.

Ratio of Nicety of neighborhood to Bars on Windows seems off.

                  Awesome acog!

LOL! That's my fence, but I gather you get that based on the smiley....

I updated the ACOG comparison review on my website to include the TA44-C. Not an individual review by any means, but I put my thoughts on it in that review, and some pics!

I'll skip to the final results: It's now the primary scope on my light weight AR15

Thanks, good review. Out of curiosity, have you tried the 2x model?

I have not. Not sure of the specs of that one but I would question the reason for 2x....it's one of those in-between magnification levels that isn't powerful enough to help much distance wise, but not low enough to appear or act like a red dot.

Then again, 2x isn't far off from a 1.5x. But I can tell from the specs alone that the 2x TA47-C is going to feel much like the 3x TA33 in eye relief and field of view. My guess is that if you don't like the TA33, the TA47 isn't going to be your favorite either.

Without actually seeing it or using it though, I cannot hold such an opinion....it's more of an uninformed observation

I had the same feeling but haven't seen any reviews/info on the 2x. There seems to be very positive opinions about the 1.5 though, it's tempting me.
