I am looking at the Aimpoint Micro T-2. I have used the PRO and liked it, but I have heard the FOV (not as much tunneling effect) is better on the T-2. Any one have first hand experience?

Place the optic as far forward as possible on the receiver.
Shoot with both eyes open.

The micro def blocks less field of view. I run micros along and have run the CompM3 and CompM4... the micro is definitely the more streamlined.
Dunno that it has any negative aspect in actual application though.
I don't mind running either size honestly.Comment

You can't go wrong.
The battery life alone is worth it.
Just wish Aimpoint would go ahead and make something with a similar reticle to an eotech. The California Moderate Centrist Militia member in exile

It is. The T2 dot is awesome. Even better than the Comp M4 which is quite a pricey red dot.
I'm planning on putting a T2 on my SBR when the stamp comes back. I've been using the PRO for a few years now and have no complaints. Especially given the price.Comment

I went from an Aimpoint M68 CCO to the Micro H-1 (4moa dot), and really the only difference is that it's less bulky and takes up less rail space. The difference in weight is negligible. If you are comparing looking THROUGH the optic only, the PRO/M68/Comp M3/etc actually have a larger window, but the outer shape of the optic blocks view due to it's bulkiness. I love my Micro H-1!I fly everywhere backwards.

I bought a trijicon mro for 413 shipped yesterday from opticplanet. Just saying its like the same thing for a couple to few hundred less. Aimpoints are awesome but i couldn't justify buying a micro over a mro now unless the price was equal. Slightly bigger field of view on the mro too.Comment

If you shoot both eyes open, like it's meant to be done, the FOV is a pretty moot point. The MRO has had some issues, whether or not the issues still remain in the current production line, who knows. The Aimpoint has been around far too long for me to choose the MRO to save $200. Just my opinion. If the issues have been worked out of the MRO, then great, it's a decent buy for sure.
