Mount for Bushnell Holosight

I just picked up a new Stag 2H and have a Bushnell Holosight on the way.
I would prefer 1/3 over full co-witness. Will I need to add a mount to achieve this or are they already high enough by themselves?

Another newbie question....
Are all flip up rear sites (non low-profile) the same height? If I replace the supplied MI rear flip with a Troy for example would it require any adjusting?

you will need some type of 'riser' to raise the holosight/eotech so it's not directly co-witnessing with your iron sights. There are several ones on the market...YHM is one that you can check. I don't have an issue with my eotech being 100% co-witnessed with my front sight...seems that when I have the eotech on...and concentrate on the red-dot...that the image of the front sight doesn't become an issue with me.

Are you keeping both eyes open when you are viewing thru your holosight/eotech?

As for the rear BUIS... it should not make a difference with using a different brand...they should all be at the same height when it's deployed...you may have to adjust the windage, but the elevation is controlled by the front sight post and that shouldn't change.

Best sol'n: LaRue LT-110

OK sol'n (when $$ is tight): YHM-220

DO NOT get the YHM-220 that have 2 set-screws in front, that piece is JUNK, you shouldn't be seeing a lot of those anymore. The new(er) one works tho.

Buy ONLY from sources with good reputations. There are a bunch of airsoft knock-offs out there.

PS. BEST to buy directly from LaRue.... they threw in a bunch of free cool stuffs in the box.... a nice cap, a good BBQ dry-rub, etc....
