Scopes for varminting/range

Well I finally stepped up to the plate and bought an LMT LM8. I have a few more days before I can get it out of jail. I'm looking for input on scopes/ optics for this rifle. My shooting will primarily be at the range/ varmint hunting. I'm not sure what kind of sights to put on it. Then possibly a bi pod after that. Thanks for any help given.

What distance are you going to shoot this rifle at? Are you just having fun or have a competition in mind? Are you shooting from the bench, multigun type stuff, etc?

I've never done varmint hunting, but from what I've seen, they tend to want higher magnification. However, high mag means weight and good glass which means $$$. So ask yourself how often you'll be doing that.

BTW, there is an optics section on this forum and your question is a pretty common one. Taking a look at the decision of others could help with yours.
