    Anybody use vortex sparc ii?

Been looking for a sight for the AR. My buddy recommended it as a good budget sight.

Any of you have any experience with it?

    Thanks

Had one on a M&P 15 before getting an Eotech. Worked great and never lost zero
    Work hard! Twerk hard!

I have one mounted to my .308 hiking rifle. Seems to stand up to that recoil fine. It's bright! One thing I will say, is that it's kinda small. Not a problem depending on the use, but if weight and dimensions aren't a big issue, you may want something a little bigger? Aperture wise. But maybe not. But I digress.

The one from PSA came with a 2x screw on magnifier, dunno if that's common or not.

TLDR, it works well! However it is a small sight, could be good or bad. But it came with diverse mounting options and seems quite well put together. Would buy again if I needed to do so for a similar application.
This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it.

Recoil magazine had a glowing review of it:

We hand over the Vortex Sparc II to a Marine to put it to the test and see if this optic could take a hit or will it have a glass jaw.

            Thanks for the responses.

seems like a good choice for the price. I just cant wrap my head around buying an eotech for 500 plus. Would rather build another AR

I like mine, use it on my 3gun rig. The only problem I've had is accidentally getting it into NV mode, where you can't see the dot at all. Only happened once in competition.

I think the Holosun 503c has better features for the same price.

Technically it's an Integra GSR with a JDM ITR front, but yes.

I have the original SPARC, and the SPARC II.

We get to borrow night vision from work, and neither of my EOTechs were NV compatible, so I needed a new red dot with NV settings.

I bought the original based in large part on this review on arfcom way back when in 2010:

I never warmed up to the screw-in 2X magnifier, but the VMX3 (old) and VMX3-T (new) magnifiers worked very well.

And the warranty can't be beat:
VIP Warranty for all Vortex Optics riflescopes, prism scopes, red dots, rangefinders, binoculars, spotting scopes, tripods, and monoculars.

                      Unlimited Lifetime Warranty
                      Fully transferable
No warranty card to fill out
No receipt needed to hang on to

If you ever have a problem, no matter the cause, we promise to take care of you.
