    Low Priced Optics

I am looking for a scope to put on my .308. I only have $100 to spend. I have a 3x9 and I want something with stronger magnification. I want to be able to shoot out to a few hundred yards. I am not expecting the best scope in the world but I want something decent.

You should be able to shoot a few hundred yards with a 3-9. Id stick w/ the 3-9 if its decent quality. Otherwise you are just wasting 100 bucks w/ no benefit.

I got another rifle that I want to put the 3x9 on so I was just going to put something higher powered on the 308 and take the 3x9 and put it on the other rifle.

Budget minded scopes and high magnification levels typically don't play well together. The glass quality on cheaper scopes just doesn't give good resolution at zoom levels greater than about 14 to 16X. I'd suggest something in the 10X to 12X range, which should be enough to get you on target at 1000 yards or more, unless you are shooting at eggs or golf balls....

I just ordered one. He gave me a great price. So far I would highly recommend Liberty Optics. I will post a short review on here once I get the scope and take her to the range.

I got 6-24x50. It showed up today. I think I put in the order on Friday and the thing is already here. Man that was fast!!! So far I am very pleased. It's dark out so I haven't have a chance to look through it much but so far I am happy with it. I think I am going out shooting this weekend so a more detailed review will follow.

Sorry it took so long but today is the first chance I had to try out the scope.

I had to order high rings for my Tikka which is why it took so long. The scope is real clear up to about 18 or 20x then it gets a little blurry but still very usable. I was only shooting at 100 yards but I could see .308 holes in the black perfectly. I would say for the price, this is a great scope. I have never used a high end scope so I have nothing to compare it too. It was very easy to zero. It was almost on right from the get go.

I am going out shooting this weekend and I will be doing some longer distance shooting. I will let you know how it goes. I will take some pictures this weekend if I get a chance.
