I like the stocks with a cheek rest, I suggest you try one of those, too. I have a Vltor EMod and the cheek rest is super comfortable. The new Magpul stocks look similar to the Vltor. OD color has a nice tone to it. Foliage is too blue and FDE, like you said being in Illinois, looks out of place.
I put all Mapul furniture on my PSA 16" Carbine. It looks and handles well.I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.
